Solo exhibit of new oil paintings celebrating the 300 days of sunshine Colorado receives each year!

When my family moved from Atlanta to Boulder in the 70’s, I became obsessed with horses, snow and swimming all summer long at Spruce Pool.  From collecting  plastic horse figures, taking riding lessons, skiing (cross country instead of downhill - parent’s choice not mine), and meeting up with friends at the pool, these are the memories that inspired this collection.  I’ve taken those memories and translated them into adult women, with a sometimes vintage flair, reminding me that they are all part of who I am now.

“In this exhibition, time is considered in various ways. Nostalgia in Jennifer’s paintings is explored as an ideal that can offer joy and perhaps a reminder to appreciate the fleeting moments of life. [These four exhibiting] artists offer us different perceptions of time, which might be what is needed to make us accept its passing.”  Opening reception June 1st, 5pm-7pm in the main gallery!

As part of the Boulder community, I’m excited to present a solo exhibit for two months at The Lodge located inside The Museum of Boulder. This exhibit will feature an array of my oil paintings from 2021-2022!

Now on view at Karen Anderer Fine Art in Lancaster, PA, a collection of my works centered around “fabulous people doing fabulous things in fabulous places” [quote by Slim Aarons].

Currently on exhibit at Ironworks Fitness in Boulder are 6 paintings that exude the energy and vivaciousness to propel fitness enthusiasts!

Select paintings have been chosen to bring the beauty and spirit of Colorado to compliment the amazing zero waste, small batch, ethically made clothing line that is Past Life the Collective. Located on West Pearl Street across from Jax Fish House.

This curated group exhibit explores the relationships among simultaneous, sweeping events — from world wars, to movements for civil rights, to pandemics — in Boulder’s past and present. Drawing Parallels cuts through the onslaught of today’s news to discover how people in the past dealt with concurrent historic moments and to present contemporary perspectives on 2020 from local artists, frontline workers, and community members.
